Las Vegas (KSNV) — The City of Las Vegas is looking to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in a special way.
Officials are inviting residents aged 14 to 16 to register for a chance to participate in their community quinceañera event.
Registration is free and open until Monday, September 8, with a limit of one submission per person.
Ten winners, who must reside within Las Vegas city limits, will be selected through a random drawing and will be notified by Friday, September 12.
Each selected quinceañera or quinceañero will be able to invite 12 friends or family members to join them at the event.
The celebration will then be held on Saturday, October 11, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the East Las Vegas Community Center, located at 250 N. Eastern Ave.
The evening will feature a mariachi performance, other entertainment, dinner for 13 for each winner, DJ music, and dancing.
