Last week we offered some recommendations for picking candidates; now we
continue with some other candidate recommendations to give our readers a
helpful guide and to encourage them to get out there and vote during this early
voting opportunity.
We already covered the U.S. Senate race, assembly, School District and a
County Commissioner; now we are going with the Congressional races where
several people are running with the intention of unseating Shelly Berkley and
Dina Titus in District One and Three, respectively.
Due to space restrictions, we are not able to mention each of the
contenders and we are going straight to the ones that we have chosen as the best
recommendations for our readers.

In Congressional District One, we have chosen Ken Wegner who, in two
different elections, has become the winner of the Republican Primary even without
the support and backing of the party. We believe that since "the powers that
be" in the party refuse to give Wegner the support that he and the voters
deserve is enough reason to give Wegner thumbs up once again.

In congressional District Three where Dina Titus is the incumbent, we
recommend Ed Bridges for that position on the Republican side. He is well
prepared and has the best interests of the community at heart. A retired military
man, he can do a lot of good in Washington and is the most qualified to
protect the safety of Nevadans and the security of the nation. We recommend Ed
Bridges.

In the race for Governor, six candidates on both sides of the aisle are
hoping to become the next governor of Nevada and they all have the good
intention to serve the state to the best of their ability, but after checking their
positions on some key issues like immigration and health and taxes, we
believe that Michael Montandon is the best choice to be the next Governor of
Nevada.

Four males, including the incumbent, and two females are running for the
position of Lieutenant Governor. They all have something new to offer and have
fresh ideas to bring to the table but not all have the energy and the
practice to execute all that. Barbara Lee Woolen has been a constant successful
entrepreneur and can be what Nevada needs to bring new business to turn the
economy around. We recommend Barbara Lee Woolen.

Senate District 9 is a very controversial race and that is why we have
jumped from the Lt. Governor's race to Senate District 9, where Elizabeth
Halseth is one of the contenders. Ms. Halseth is without a doubt a well-qualified
and knowledgeable candidate with a good understanding of the issues, very
conservative and family-oriented. We strongly recommend Elizabeth Halseth for
State Senator District 9.
